UNIQUE LAKE EXPERIENCES - PLUS MORE!

6-hour Maine Guide fishing excursion on Cobbossee for 1-2 anglers age 16+. No experience required. Must have a Maine fishing license to participate (license available online at maine.gov). Date/time to be arranged with Zach (April - Nov). Donated by Zach Stewart.

Get a great start in pickleball or refine your skills! Enjoy a one-hour pickleball lesson for 2 individuals at a beautiful lakeside court compliments of Wayde Rankin. Wayde and Jim Hutchinson, a certified pickleball instructor, will deliver the lesson. Paddles will be provided. After the lesson you are welcome to play for another hour. Donated by Wayde and Jim.

Boat tour of Cobbossee with Ryan Eldridge of Maine Cabin Masters. See camps featured on MCM and hear behind-the-scenes stories. Room for 6 so plan ahead with your friends! Mutually convenient date to be determined. Donated by Ryan.

Lighthouse cruise with history and other fun facts of the lake shared by Bill Kieltyka, past President of CLA. Room for 6 on his pontoon boat so plan ahead with your friends. To be scheduled at a mutually convenient time in late July or August. Donated by Bill.

We are seeking CLA member donations for our Silent Auction, “Art and Experiences of Cobbosseecontee” to be auctioned off on Saturday, July 13th at the "Love of the Lake" Fundraiser at the White Duck Brew Pub.

If you are a painter, sculptor, woodworker, quilter, or other form of artist -- or if you have a passion for the lake that you would like to share (knowledge of our history, expertise on loons, sunset cocktail host, dinner party host, etc) -- please consider sharing your talent with us and making a donation to be auctioned. You'll be sharing your love of the lake with others while raising funds to help protect Cobbossee.

Please use this form to submit donations for our silent auction. We will contact you to collect donations in advance of the party on July 13th.

New to boat-ins? They are casual outdoor parties hosted by CLA members on Saturdays throughout the summer, from 5-7 PM. (They are called "boat-ins" because guests used to arrive by boat... though now most come by car.) Members and their guests of all ages are welcome. Please BYOB and a dish to share if you can. No need to RSVP, just show up!

PAINTING WORKSHOPS

Friday, July 12 ~ 10-11:30 AM on Picnic Rock

Friday, August 16 ~ time and location to be announced

No experience is needed, we welcome all levels of artistic interest from first-timers to experienced painters.

Enjoy a lesson from CLA member and artist Babs Wheelden. Learn watercolor “Plein Air” painting techniques and create your own watercolor of the beautiful views that surround Lake Cobbossee. Painting supplies will be provided.

Paddle or boat to Picnic Rock (see map to right). Bring something to sit on and a water bottle.

The workshop is FREE. Open to CLA members only - adults & kids ages 12+

This is a "sun only" event. Provide your email when you sign up and we will let you know if weather requires us to cancel.

Limited to the first 16 to sign up for each date.
