HELP US PURCHASE 10 SCUBA TANKS FOR DIVERS MANAGING INVASIVES
CLA volunteer divers and Watershed Friends divers recently worked together to survey and pull Eurasian WaterMilfoil from Cobbossee in the area near Upper and Lower Sisters. While they were very successful, the size of the infestation and having to pull by hand found us short of scuba tanks and made us have to refill constantly effecting efficiency.
Knowing how important it is to be able to get a job like this done quickly, we would like to purchase 10 additional scuba tanks to be used on Cobbossee in the future.
Here's how you can help:
Donate $269 to cover the cost of one tank. And if you'd like, we can put a sticker with your name or business on the tank and we'll acknowledge your generosity in social media.
If we don't "sell" all of the tanks for $269 each, we'll conduct a "reverse auction" to raise the balance needed. You'll be able to "bid" any amount to help us raise the total of $2,700 needed to purchase the 10 tanks.
Having these additional scuba tanks will help Watershed Friends and CLA protect Lake Cobbosseecontee! Please consider supporting this important need.

“Book Talk on the Dock”
Where great reads meet even greater company!
Join us for a laid-back afternoon of book talk, laughter, and lake views! Whether you're a bookworm or just love a good story, this is the perfect chance to unwind, sip a drink and snack, and chat about our latest read—all while soaking in the Cobbossee waterfront and meeting other CLA members.
Then, as the day unfolds, we can head over to Bailey Library in Winthrop to hear the author speak live about their book, diving into the inspirations and behind-the-scenes stories that brought it to life. No pressure, just great conversation and good vibes.
Book Club host Sarah McLellan will send out details a few weeks before for the group meets at her dock in Winthrop. If you would like to join the group, please email Sarah at sjmcdann@gmail.com
Enjoy the books and we hope to see you on the dock!
WEDNESDAY, JULY 22nd GATHERING — IMPORTANT UPDATE:
