Consider becoming a member of CLA’s Legacy Giving

Each of us has a vision of what to contribute during our lifetimes and what to leave as a legacy. We hope you will consider CLA as you think about the future of the lake that we all love so much and that holds so many memories.

If you have a traditional IRA and are over the age of 70-1/2, you can make tax-free distributions directly from your account. If you are subject to a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), now starting at age 72, such a contribution can reduce your taxable income while satisfying your RMD.

For a bequest, the following language can be used in your will: I give to CYC Lake Association, a nonprofit lake association committed to protecting and improving all aspects of the Cobbosseecontee, located in Manchester, Maine, with the tax ID Number 84-2081478, the sum of $_________ ( or ________ percent of my estate) to be used for the general purposes of the Cobbosseecontee Lake Association.
